Staying here…

Thanks to everyone who posted, both on the blog and privately. It was a really hard decision, but I’ve decided to stay here. Twelve weeks is just too long when the kids are this age. Maybe when they’re teens and don’t *want* to spend time with me.   Ethiopia isn’t going anywhere.

Should I stay or should I go?

So far grad school and motherhood had peacefully coexisted. I’ve found terrific childcare, great after-school programs for the older kids, time to get my classwork done… its all gone swimmingly!
But now the dreaded moment has arrived….I’ve been offered a fellowship for the summer…in Ethiopia.
