There are a few of us here at this course who have children- and we’ve all seemed to find each other. My roommate has a four year old boy, and we’ve talked about the need to go shopping so we can bring back toys or goodies.
This evening after class a group of us hiked over the bridge to the Buda side and had a marvelous time looking around, taking photos and just exploring. After a while most of the group went back to the residence, but my roommate and I wanted to keep exploring, so off we went.
We ended up at a huge mall, called Mammut (four floors!), and in it were toy stores! We had a grand time looking through all the toys – most of which we could get in our own countries, but we felt good, even just looking!
Then we came upon store that was much more reasonably priced and had exactly what we were looking for! We congratulated ourselves on our excursion, and the completion of this important motherly duty, by enjoying a very nice traditional Hungarian meal. I had goose liver (it was amazing! Even though it was fried, it was very light and delicate!). It was a very relaxing meal and we had a great time talking about kids, husbands, work, marriage, food…
I’m blessed that I have found such great people in this course!
